Kitty!

Kitty!

Most cats do not like getting wet - as anyone who has tried to bathe a moggie will know.

But as these pictures show, there's always the exception to the rule. For the cat in question is a large male white Bengal tiger called Odin.

Six years old, and at the prime of his life, Odin lives at the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom Zoo in Vallejo, near San Francisco. He is about 10ft long from nose to tail, and is an excellent swimmer.

Gay Flamingos Adopt Abandoned Chick in Britain

This is so cute. There are also Gay Penguins (Roy and Silo) in New York City, but they haven't chosen to adopt yet. Originally from Towleroad:

LONDON (AFP) - A pair of gay flamingos have adopted an abandoned chick, becoming parents after being together for six years, a British conservation organisation said Monday.

Carlos and Fernando had been desperate to start a family, even chasing other flamingos from their nests to take over their eggs at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) in Slimbridge near Bristol.

When you're talking about birds and the "nesting" instinct, it takes a little bit more than gender identity to overcome mother nature! What would Jerry Fallwell say about this?

Gay Sheep Manifest High Rates of Teh Gay

From the Hartford Advocate:

It's a deeply serious world, and there is a lot to be concerned about at the moment, but having said that, apparently 10 percent of sheep are gay.

By the way... When did it become the Hartford Advocate instead of just Advocate? Whatever.

We do seem to be entering an epoch for which there is no precedent. We are going to be able to impose our moral and aesthetic ideas about how we ought to be onto our genetic makeup. We may be able to literally make ourselves in our own image for the first time, and the problem is that our own image is narcissistic and small-minded. Hitler and the Nazis tried to do this with their eugenics experiments, to see if they could create a blue-eyed blonde-haired master race.

Anyway, this is kind of an old story that is projected in a new light. Sort of. Not really. HAVE FUN WITH IT KIDS!
